Niccolò Pisilli Presents The New Skechers SKX_02 Sunset Pack

From his rise through Roma's academy to becoming one of Italian football's most promising young midfielders, Niccolò Pisilli introduces the new Skechers SKX_02 Sunset Pack and reflects on his development, inspirations and relationship with one of the fastest growing brands in football.

Few young Italian players have experienced a rise quite like Niccolò Pisilli over the last few seasons. From making his way through Roma's youth system to establishing himself among the club's most exciting prospects, his development has been matched by an increasingly strong presence within the football boot world, becoming one of the key faces of Skechers Football in Italy.

The latest chapter arrives through the new SKX_02 Sunset Pack, a colourway that immediately stands out from anything we've previously seen on the silo. Blending shades of red, orange, blue and white, the boot takes inspiration from sunset skies and delivers one of the boldest visual identities ever applied to the SKX family. It is a direction that perfectly reflects the current position of Skechers Football, a brand increasingly willing to experiment and push beyond traditional colour palettes while continuing to focus on performance.

For Pisilli, however, the story goes beyond colours and aesthetics. Having spent significant time wearing the SKX_02 throughout his development, he has developed a deep understanding of the characteristics that define the boot. During our conversation, he spoke about the evolution of his game, explaining how the transition from youth football to the professional environment has transformed him as a player.

"It was certainly a very important step to be able to play with experienced players and learn from them every day. That helped me improve in many aspects of my game and become a more complete midfielder."

That growth has become increasingly visible on the pitch. Pisilli's ability to combine technical quality, intensity and tactical awareness has made him one of the most interesting young midfielders in Italian football, qualities that mirror many of the characteristics Skechers has attempted to build into the SKX line since its introduction.

The conversation also moved towards his football inspirations growing up. Rather than focusing on a single idol, Pisilli described how football itself became his reference point.

"I watched every football match I could. Roma, of course, but also games from all over the world. I always tried to learn something from the players I watched."

That curiosity and willingness to absorb ideas from different sources is something that continues to define his approach today. It is also one of the reasons why his progression has felt so natural over the last few years, with every season adding another layer to his game.

Returning to the boots themselves, the Sunset Pack represents one of the strongest visual statements Skechers Football has produced to date. While previous SKX releases have explored cleaner and more traditional directions, this edition embraces colour with complete confidence, creating a look that feels impossible to ignore once it steps onto the pitch.

Interestingly, when asked to rank his favourite SKX colourways, Pisilli placed the new Sunset Pack at the very top of his personal list. Behind it came the white and gold edition, followed by the light blue version, the red and black release and finally the pink edition that completed his top five selections. It is a ranking that highlights just how much the visual identity of the SKX silo has evolved in a relatively short period of time.

More importantly, the Sunset Pack arrives at a moment when both player and brand continue to grow together. Pisilli is establishing himself as one of the brightest talents in Italian football, while Skechers Football continues to strengthen its position within a market traditionally dominated by much longer established competitors.

Whether this ultimately becomes the most iconic SKX colourway remains to be seen. What is certain is that it represents another important step in the evolution of both the silo and one of its most recognisable ambassadors.
